Weddings at The River Mill

An evening you'll spend with your people, not your phone

Florals, cake, china, candlelight, coordination and parking are already handled. All that's left is the marriage.

The wedding experience

Historic brick, living gardens, five unhurried hours

The River Mill has been hosting weddings for more than thirty years, and the property was built for the way a wedding actually moves.

Ceremonies happen outdoors beneath 150-year-old oaks or indoors beside an oversized fireplace. Cocktails spill into an open-air courtyard with a fountain and a second-story balcony. Dinner and dancing take over the River Room, Roasting Room or Winery Room. The property comfortably holds 80 to 350 guests, with a 150-guest minimum on Saturdays and 80 Sunday through Friday.

  1. 1.5 hours before

    Arrival & dressing room

Your party arrives to a bridal dressing room, finished florals and a room already set.

  2. Hour one

    Ceremony

Vows in the gardens, at the levee oaks, at the iron arch, or fireside beneath the barrel ceiling.

  3. Hour two

    Cocktails in the courtyard

Guests move to the fountain courtyard while the balcony fills and photographs happen in golden light.

  4. Hours three & four

    Dinner and toasts

Sit-down, buffet or stations from our kitchen, served on ivory china under candlelight.

  5. Hour five

    Cake and dancing

  6. After

    We handle the rest

In their words

Celebrations that stay with people

Couples, families and companies have been gathering here for more than thirty years.

  • “We toured six venues and stopped looking the moment we walked through the gardens. The oaks, the brick, the fountain — our photographs look like a European estate.”
Alyssa & Marc · Classic Evening Wedding
  • “Everything was already handled — flowers, cake, linens, coordination. I spent my wedding day with my family instead of on my phone.”
    Priya S. · Garden ceremony, 180 guests
  • “We host our annual leadership conference here. Breakfast, lunch and the afternoon break run like clockwork, and the Board Room keeps the day focused.”
    Daniel R. · Corporate conference
  • “The Roasting Room at Christmas, with that fireplace going, is the most beautiful party room in San Joaquin County.”
